Siena
Just 20 minutes from Colle Val d’Elsa, there is the town of SIENA, with its famous “Piazza del Campo”, known for its particular form similar to a shell, and , of course, for the “Palio di Siena”, the traditional horse race, that takes place every year, the 2nd of July and the 16th of august, since 1147. These dates represent the two main events for tourists from all around the world. Some others interesting places in Siena are the Cathedral, the St. Domenico’s church (where there are relics of St. Caterina from Siena), and the Mangia tower, built in 1348, which is also the highest building of the town.

Monteriggioni
Furthermore, in only 10 minutes by car, it is possible to reach the small town of Monteriggioni, a typical example of a Medieval fortified village.

San Gimignano
Near Colle Val d’Elsa, we can also visit SAN GIMIGNANO, an ancient Medieval Town, famous for its several towers, built on a hill in the Val d’Elsa.

Volterra
20 Kilometres from Colle Val d’Elsa you can visit VOLTERRA, a charming Etruscan castle, famous for the production of alabaster, an artistic handicraft with long and noble history that you can breath in every corner of the town.
